We are specialists in the use and shredding of leaf residues generated in pineapple crops in Santander, Colombia.
One of the main environmental challenges facing pineapple cultivation in Santander, Colombia, is the management of waste in the fields after harvest.

Traditionally, this waste is burned, resulting in adverse environmental effects due to the release of CO2 into the atmosphere and causing damage to the soil.
Inspired by this challenge, and after conducting extensive research in the field and working closely with farmers and industry partners, Green Leaf was established. Green Leaf is a specialized company dedicated to utilizing and shredding these residues to produce natural fiber.

How we do it?
At Green Leaf, we implement the principles of the circular economy to conduct our operations. We specialize in using, shredding, and producing natural fiber, primarily utilizing pineapple crop residues, and now expanding our scope to include other crops like bananas.

Our processes take place directly in the fields, working closely with local producers and experienced rural women skilled in spinning and manual labor. This initiative not only benefits the land and farmers but also offers our conscious customers in Colombia a distinctive product of 100% plant origin.
